MANAGEMENT PRACTICUM FOR SUMMER 2010

Back by popular demand:  This newly redesigned follow-up course to be offered in the last week of June, provides participants with an opportunity to strengthen their management understanding and skills.  Directly facilitated by Louise and Bernadette educators expand the theory from the prerequisite course and brainstorm resolutions of their current classroom challenges.  The Management Practicum is one of five courses that are to be offered by Pathways to Learning at Kennedy Junior High Lisle in summer 2010.  Check our Course Registration pages for further information on our summer schedule and pre-registration.

SUMMER 2009 SUCCESSFUL INSTITUTES

In June and July three hundred highly motivated educators attended eight sections of five energizing Pathways to Learning courses held at Jefferson Junior High, Naperville and Wredling Middle School, St. Charles.  Several of the courses, including Be Well and One by One which were first piloted in 2008, were over-subscribed and wait-listed.  In the end we were able to make adjustments to accommodate all pre-registrants.

A Summer 2009 Class

The courses included offerings (Be Well, Communications Seminar, Accept the RRC Challenge) which support the social-emotional standards mandated by the Illinois State Board of Education as well as offerings (What’s the Brain and One by One) which focus on differentiating to accommodate diverse learner needs.

By initiative of the participants, several Google-groups have been formed to keep the understandings, applications, and support flowing throughout the year.  We continue to hear from participants about how they are applying what they learned to benefit the learning of their students.

As we have completed our 28th institute, we remain incredibly grateful for the support of those with whom we have shared the learning process.  Many have returned year after year to augment their understandings and fine-tune their practices.  Please click this link to access comments from our course participants:  Course Evaluations.
